Since I was a kid, I always loved going to the aquarium. A while back I visited the Aquarium at Moody Gardens on Galveston Island in Texas.This work is inspired by an entire room of aquariums filled with jellies. It was mesmerizing! I took a lot of video with my cellphone and created this piece from a still image captured by that video. I never get to see enough of my dad as I live in Texas, and he in California. So it was really special that he came all that way to see me. Our day at Moody was wonderful. This will always remind me of that day, but also all the other wonderful aquarium visits I’ve had in my life.
